🎂 Vanilla Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup (200g) sugar
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup (240ml) milk
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream the butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
Add the eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
Combine wet and dry mixtures: Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined (don’t overmix).
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and serve: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Optional: Frost with your favorite icing or dust with powdered sugar!
